This is a photo of an original California Highway Patrol car. It is on the 122" wheelbase (Matador or Polara), but carries no model identification on the front fender. Note that the front grille is the cheaper stamped aluminum grille used on the 118" wheelbase Darts, and the hood script is also from a Dart. These were likely built generic for fleet use. It likely carries a 383- 4 barrel, or could have the 383 D-500 engine with dual 4 barrel carbs and cross ram induction.
